Today we take a look at Nigerian artistes who at one point or the other destined for bigger (great) things but they have found themselves stagnated or they have stopped making progress. While many of them can not be blamed for their standstill, most are the architect of their misfortune. We take a look at 24 of the long list of stalled Nigerian stars

Ice Prince

Chocolate City rapper Ice Prince is more known for his relationship, socialization and sneakers these days rather than his music… Gone are the days he was in the same bracket as Wizkid and Davido.

Iyanya

Iyanya flaunts his muscles more than hit records lately. The Triple MG star is destined for greater things but has managed to release an album that no one is talking about. Good thing he still has his endorsement deals renewed.

Modenine

A legend according to most, but it is been 5 years at least since Modenine released a notable record.

Terry Da Rapman (T.R)

Terry Da Rapman has failed to do anything significant since he changed his name to T.R… Apart from stepping out with Sarah Ofili of course…

TY Bello

TY Bello seems to have given up on her music talents… The talented photographer released an album last year but nobody gave her listening ears.

May D

Singer May D might be doing OK right now, but he was destined for bigger things (MAMA Awards, BET, endorsement deals etc) when he was in Square Records

Klever J

Klever J continues to make music, but the last the street heared from him remains Koni Koni Love which was released in 2008.

Emma Nyra

Emma Nyra is known for her curves these days instead of her music. She hasn’t released a single song since mid last year.

Pryse

Many swore Pryse will send Nigerian rappers to early grave, the sultry rapper hasn’t released a single record in 2 years.

Nigga Raw (Mr. Raw)

Phyno might be the one to blame for his lack of progress, but the eastern veteran hasn’t made a mark in Nigerian music industry in a while…

Another rapper whose career has surprisingly gone sideways…

Since Sinzu changed his name from Sauce Kid, his music career has changed from good to speechless. He appears to be on fresh though

Shank hasn’t released a decent record since Ghetto

Kayswitch’s career has been nothing to write home about since Mo’Hits went defunct. Maybe he should have pledged allegiance to Don Jazzy
