Nigeria’s former presidential candidate, Olu Falae kidnapped on his birthday, N100M demanded

News reports have it that Nigeria’s former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and 1999 presidential candidate of the All Peoples Party and Alliance for Democracy, Olu Falae has been kidnapped in Ondo.
The Afenifere chieftain who is also the founder of the Social Democratic Party was allegedly abducted at his farm a few kilometers from the state capital, Akure earlier today which marks his 77th birthday.
The development has been confirmed by the SDP director of publicity, Remi Olayiwola. He further disclosed that the kidnappers have also demanded a N100M ransom. ‘His wife received a phone call from the kidnappers later, and a voice was heard telling the family to bring N100 million before the end of tomorrow (Tuesday) before he will be released,’ Olayiwole said.
