Armed robbers numbering about 15 on January 13, 2015, Tuesday, attacked First Bank in Ikare, Akoko Area of Ondo State.
According to an eyewitness report, the robbers used dynamite to blow up the entrance to the gate of the bank and carted away a yet to be ascertained amount of money.
The suspects shot eleven persons, among them four mobile police officers, a young girl and her daddy who was an Okada rider.
It was gathered from a source that apart from the First Bank, the armed robbers also attacked Skye Bank and other banks in the area.
The robbery, which happened around 3-4pm, was said to have lasted for an hours as the robbers overpowered Mobile policemen that came to confront them.
According to a report published by Sahara Reporters, the robbers were said to have escaped through routes leading to Edo State.

It would be recalled that the attacked bank, was equally attacked in 2013 along with two others and which led to closure of banking business in the commercial city for several months.
