In a newly released interview with Soundcity, dancehall star and
‘Checks and Balances’ crooner, Burna Boy gave his true reason for
leaving his former record label, Aristokrat records. According to him,
he left the label after the two year contract he signed with them
expired and not because he had altercations with the music group that
boasts of stellar acts like Mojeed, Kamar and Pucado. “Nothing unnatural
happened, I mean obviously I signed with them for two years and the
contract expired, you get me, and at the time it expired, I’m much
bigger, so, its business,” he said. Burna boy whose real name is Damini
Ogulu said he is no longer the same Burna Boy from 2012 and he has been
doing a lot of touring. He revealed that he has gotten offers from top
international record companies like Sony and his fans should be
expecting new material from him soon.
